Since I have some new followers and this being a new account I thought I would share some facts about me:
UPDATE: I forgot to share my EDS type: I have 3 in 1: Hypermobile-Classical-Vascular Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I was tested twice and no clear markers came back but I fit the criteria for all three. The geneticist said this is super super rare!
- I go by Becca or Bec: I never went by Bec until the last couple years when my Dad and sister and more family started calling me that and it stuck.
- I am one of a set of quadruplets: born with two other brothers and one sister at 26 weeks: technically I was the 'last born.'
- I also have a younger brother, so in total I have 3 brothers and 1 sister.
- I am 28 years old.
- I have grey eyes, almost black hair, and am 5.5" tall.
- People and the first responders are always shocked speechless at my real age, thinking I am about 10-15 years younger.
- My Dad has always been and maybe always will be the closest person to me in my life.
- I am single but hope one day to have a guy that I can trust and depend on as much as my Dad - I have had endless bad experiences but am trying to remain open minded.
- My Dad has saved my life several times: he carried me out of the water from almost drowning twice and into the hospital completely limp and unresponsive during a severe seizure last year.
- I cannot lie and value honesty almost more than anything.
- I literally almost never swore in my life until after my severe brain injuries and my other conditions worsening.
- I love humor and laughing and joking more than anything when I can now but also have a dark sense of humor to cope with everything and nearly dying several times.
- I have been volunteered for potential injury in situations because of being known to have the highest pain tolerance.
- I am a premature birth, multiple-near-drowning, countless adverse drug reactions, PA, SA, DV, and multiple abuse survivor.
- I am 'half sweet and half savage' with what I have survived...I no longer tolerate BS but remain kind with my boundaries firmly in place. I have a slightly dark side which is my protection. I am soft with a touch of fire.
- I am known as being a tiny but probably the toughest person you will ever meet.
- I have been called a "Tiny Badass" and "Angel."
- I put up a strong, independent front but secretly I deeply long for someone to step in, protect, and take care of me: I have been fighting literally my entire life since I was born and would love to be able to just feel completely safe, like someone else can handle some of it, and can just hold me when the pain is unbearable.
- I have multiple, rare or unheard of, incurable, and nearly untreatable conditions. I do not know of anyone else having some of my main ones except maybe one other lady with a similar super rare EDS type and also severe adverse drug reactions (with DNA test results showing high or highest toxicity to nearly any drug, medication, natural supplement, and nicotine/THC) combined. It felt incredible to connect with someone going through that for the first time in my life as it has been extremely lonely.
- I have spent the last few years constantly in and out of medical appointments, hospitals, and ambulance trips.
- I have severe PTSD, mainly from extreme medical and physical trauma but also emotional trauma and abuse. I have spent literally most of my life working through severe anxiety disorders with major investment in professional help, and now am more stable with the others than I ever have been, which I am deeply proud of.
- Every day I am learning how to manage and keep living with my conditions (super rare kind of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome-Disease, Raynauds Disease, adverse drug reactions, Functional Neurological Disorder, severe brain injury, insomnia, fragrance allergy, seizures, chronic pain, part paralysis, drop-paralysis-attacks or full body paralysis, and more) and especially the ones that physically have progressed now that cause extreme pain and difficulty with functioning.

- Nights are really difficult for me: between the insomnia and pain, almost all of my trauma has occurred at night.
- I LOVE black, essentialism, thrifting, feminine empowerment (really anyone-empowerment, but I am recently embracing more of my femininity), writing, advocacy, and modeling.
- I love dresses and fashion! I also love big dogs and horses!
- I have a large, black dog who is a rescue that my SIL got me who is actually extremely like me with personality: we both have major trust issues with guys from past experiences: we do not trust easily and are no-BS-angels. We love our safe people more than anyone but it takes a year or longer to gain our trust. Once you do though, you have us for life.
- I started a huge life list: things I want to do while I am alive.
- I love organizing and have detailed documents for everything in my life.
- Several people have asked me to be their personal therapist (obviously I have no degree, but have spent most of my life in constant therapy!), and said I should be one.
- My dream job before I got really sick was to be a 911 operator or dispatcher. First responders hold a really special place in my heart.
- I am working on writing and making a timeline of my life journey to hopefully share for research and be part of future studies and interviews. My hope and life mission is to raise awareness and help others in the future who might have my type of conditions, and hopefully suffer a lot less than I have because of it.
- I already accomplished two of my life dreams: getting correct diagnoses and answers, and being able to have the largest worldwide EDS organization, 'THE EHLERS-DANLOS SOCIETY' share my story!
- My saying is "Love and strength."
- No matter what your beliefs are, I will always love and support you.
