HOW MY EDS AFFECTS ME

Since it is EDS Awareness month, many people are sharing daily parts of how this disease impacts them. I thought I would share:

How My EDS (Hypermobile with Classical-Vascular) Affects Me:

1. Insomnia since birth, inability to fall/stay asleep/get comfortable/waking up with severe pain of different kinds
2. Incorrect curvature in my neck, spine, arms, female organs, legs, and entire body instability
3. Inability to sit normally and stand for long because of pain in my legs, numbness, and blood pooling
4. Chronic pain of all kinds: muscle-joint-nerve-paralysis pain, wrist pain, migraines, constant Raynauds Disease pain in my hands and feet, severe chest pain, shoulder subluxations pain: I have blacked out and lost consciousness many times from moments of extreme pain and excruciating painful drug reactions, and even past trial of prescription and hospital pain drugs had literally no effect aside from causing more pain and an anaphylactic reaction
5. Brain injury: several major concussions with permanent damage from co-conditions
6. Chronic fatigue/brain fog
7. Extreme weakness with the pain
8. Severe unheard of adverse drug reactions to nearly any drug, medication, supplement, contrast, and natural compound
9. Severe fragrance allergy
10. Heart dysfunction: Bradycardia and Tachycardia
11. Autonomic dysfunction/Dysautonomia
12. Temperature dysregulation
13. Hypovolemia and severe blood pooling
15. Functional Neurological Disorder
16. Non-epileptic-seizures: all different kinds: absence, part tonic-clonic, combination of paralysis-ex
17. Temporary full body paralysis, sudden drop paralysis, and part paralysis often with seizures for several minutes to several hours at a time: I have injured myself, lost consciousness, had trouble breathing, ruptured bleeding blood vessels on my hands after 3-5 hours ones, and it often increases the pain and weakness in my entire body and other conditions
18. Varying paralysis and loss of feeling/function sometimes severely in both my arms and legs
19. Ataxia
20. Difficulty breathing from heart dysfunction/seizures
21. Sensitivity to light
22. Comorbid conditions including multiple severe anxiety disorders
23. Subluxations/dislocations
24. Rashes, painful skin reactions to anything and certain adhesives/medical tapes/bandages
25. Easy injury, bleeding, bruising, thin breaking skin, ruptured blood vessels
26. Severe nose bleeds
27. High risk of more ruptures or rupture to internal organs and blood clots
28. Slow wound healing and atrophic scarring
29. Vocal cord dysfunction and difficulty speaking
30. Gastrointestinal and bladder dysfunction
31. Vision problems in my left eye due to a congenital cataract
32. Numbness
33. Nausea
34. Tics
35. Likely MCAS/CFS/long covid/asthma, unknown
